Man killed in fiery Brooklyn crash

On Behalf of | Jul 20, 2021 | Motor Vehicle Accidents

A horrific accident unfolded early Saturday morning in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

A speeding Maserati was driving along Atlantic Avenue when the driver lost control near an elevated train line at the Rochester Avenue intersection. The sports car jumped a curb and struck a concrete median before flipping into the air and splitting in two. The vehicle was engulfed in flames by the time it was all said and done.

Police arrived at the scene to find two men in the car – one was pronounced dead at the scene and the other, severely injured, was taken to Brookdale medical center.

The identities of the men are not yet known, although the injured man is reported to be 35 years of age. An investigation into the cause of the accident remains underway.

Victims can take action

Moving on after a serious motor vehicle accident is always challenging, but acceptance is even more difficult if the crash was caused by negligence or wrongdoing.

Thankfully, victims can seek justice for themselves and their loved ones. They can file a lawsuit against those responsible to obtain compensation for their injuries.

The first step is contacting an experienced personal injury lawyer. They understand the challenges facing their clients and can provide a vigorous defense of their rights before a court of law.

Brooklyn residents shouldn’t hesitate to get started. New York States imposes a two-year statute of limitations on all personal injury lawsuits. Failure to take action could mean permanently forfeiting the right to legal recourse.

If cost is a concern, many lawyers offer a free initial consultation at no out-of-pocket cost to the client.
